WINEMAKING AND STYLE:
In the high-temperature, windy areas of Tihany, Kékfrankos is the number one variety. Our plantations on the crater walls around the Outer and Inner Lakes give exciting, cool-character Kékfrankos every year, and we try to convey the special harmony of the microclimate, soil and variety triads with the Magma Kékfrankos selection.
If we look at the style, we find that the Kékfrankos of Tihany is somewhere halfway between Szekszárd and Sopron. Magma is fermented in small, open tubs with organic yeast. During fermentation, it is left to soak in the skin, while it is macerated by hand, then pressed gently and settled in a tank. At the end Magma Kékfrankos is aged in barrels for 10-12 months before refilled to the steel tanks and finally bottled.
Vegetable aroma of cabbage, dill and blackcurrant. Fiery and full-bodied, thick and juicy. With a long finish and marked acids. Unfiltered, unclear and vegan.
